Lisa is the most skilled counselor I’ve ever met. She’s compassionate, caring, and actively engaged in every session. She’s truly “in the arena” alongside her clients as they fight to obtain or regain their confidence, strength, sense of safety, and/or sense of self. She’s learned the science and possesses the art of helping people truly heal and overcome their particular life challenges; and continues to attend trainings on cutting edge trauma therapy developments in order to provide the best care possible. This client gives Lisa two thumbs up!
She is someone that is always trying to improve her technique and educating me, the patient, as to what she has learned. She is very knowledgeable and gives some homework to reflect and help improve on specific issues between sessions.
I've never seen a more learned and professional counselor. She is continually learning about the brain and how it patterns. She applies her knowledge in ways that truly work, even if her methods are a bit new. Sitting and talking doesn't help very much, and thankfully this antiquated approach is something Lisa rarely uses. She is so very well versed an multiple modalities that it is easy for her to naturally tailor her work with you specifically to your personal needs. So Engaging!
Starting therapy was by far the best thing I have ever done for myself. You go through your life, stuck in a loop of detrimental choices, but therapy helps you to learn how to break the cycle. I learned to use my words, set boundaries, end toxic relationships, and most importantly, trust myself and my future choices. It is a weekly investment in yourself, and little by little, week by week, you learn you are worth it!
